Irene Adler.

You hated her name and anything to do with her. You hated how she invaded the boundaries you thought only you could cross. All of the time she spent with Sherlock made you jealous, and you hated her for it. You could tell her intentions weren't good. If only you had a man to make him jealous, that would capture his attention. Yet you knew you couldn't do that to Sherlock. You loved him way too much.

Irene though, you had no patience for her or her actions whatsoever.

You felt nothing but hatred towards her which is why you were desperately trying to convince John there was nothing between Irene and Sherlock. You were still trying to convince yourself.

"John, I don't think anything is going on between them. At least I hope not. I know what she's capable of, but I trust Sherlock. I doubt there's anything there. I'd like to think I'm pretty special. I mean, I'm the only one allowed in his room. Point is, there's nothing between them. Even if there was, I wouldn't give up without a fight. You do know that, right Sherly?" you asked as you looked up at him slightly, head still on his shoulder and arm still interlocked with his.

He chuckled slightly before speaking

"Yes, I know. You should think you're special, because you are. You're the only one who's managed to capture my attention and keep it. And yes, you are the only one allowed in my room. I hate having other people in there, especially Mycroft."

You smiled and leaned up to place a kiss on his lips which he gladly returned.

"Good, because I don't want anyone taking you away from me."

John cleared his throat awkwardly and smiled.

"I still can't believe you've got yourself a girlfriend Sherlock. A pretty amazing one at that."

You blushed and looked down, quietly thanking John.

"Don't try to take my girlfriend away from me John. I wouldn't want to have to convince Mycroft to get rid of this little problem," Sherlock said playfully but with a hint of seriousness.

John put his hands up defensively and you couldn't help but laugh at the innocent look on his face.

You loved this side of Sherlock. The happy and playful side. People say that you're the only one who could bring it out of him and that made it all the better. Even Mycroft approved of you even if he didn't show it.

Recently, Sherlock was put on a case that involved a woman and his time was invested in that, so you were glad to be able to spend time with him.

You saw the flat was only a few blocks away and you smiled, releasing Sherlock and running rest of the way.

"Finally, we're here." you sighed dramatically before unlocking the door and walking in. The boys were still a bit behind you so you decided to go up anyways and take a nap.

"Hello Mrs. Hudson." you smiled as you made your way up the stairs.

"Hello dear. I hope Sherlock's been treating you well and not misbehaving."

"No Mrs. Hudson, he's been perfect. I'm just going to head up and take a quick nap in Sherlock's room."

"Alright,"

You sighed as you walked into the house, setting your stuff on the counter and slipping off your shoes. You yawned and rubbed your eyes sleepily as you made your way to Sherlock's room, wanting to sleep.

You opened the door and closed it behind you before turning to face the bed.

What you saw made all thoughts of sleep leave your mind and you were filled with rage.

"William Sherlock Scott Holmes, you better get in here right now!" you yelled when you heard the front door open.

The woman who was currently sleeping in Sherlock's bed woke with a start, confused as to why you were there.

"Who are you? Sherlock's maid or something?" she asked, clearly not knowing of your relationship with Sherlock.

Sherlock raced to the room and opened the door quickly, not looking anywhere but at you.

"(Your name), are you okay? Are you hurt?" he began to fret as he reached out to touch you.

You stepped back and crossed your arms, glaring at him.

John walked in and saw you glaring at Sherlock, but he also noticed Irene laying in Sherlock's bed.

"What's wrong?" Sherlock asked once more, voice desperate. He could see that you were upset and though he didn't know why, he wanted to know so he could fix it and make you happy again.

"Uh, Sherlock," John said as he tapped him on the shoulder and gestured to the bed where Irene layed, obviously annoyed by the situation.

Sherlock saw her and his attitude instantly changed from the caring, silly Sherlock that only you could bring out, to the serious and emotionless Sherlock.

"Hello Sherlock," the woman greeted him, obviously happy to see him. Sherlock had taught you a few things before and you could tell that she was trying to hide the fact that she was happy to see him.

"Sherlock, care to explain?" you asked, still glaring at him.

You understood that he was working on a case and that he took them seriously, but that didn't mean she could sleep in this bed. The bed you and Sherlock shared.

Sherlock looked over at you and despite the slight sadness that you saw in his eyes, he simply stayed silent.

"Alright." you said emotionlessly.

You made your way to the door, stopping to give John a hug and a quick peck on the cheek, letting him know you were going out and not to wait up.

"Be careful." he said sympathetically, knowing you needed to be alone.

You could feel Sherlock's gaze on your back as you exited the room and grabbed your stuff, slid on your shoes and made your way downstairs.

"Sherlock?" you could hear Irene question as urgent footsteps sounded, getting closer and closer to you as you rushed down the stairs.

"(Your Name)."

You ignored his call for you and walked out the front door, closing it behind you as you picked up your pace, wanting to get ahead of Sherlock.

"(Your Name)!" you heard Sherlock yell from behind you.

You ignored him and kept walking as the tears that formed in your eyes earlier began to cascade down your face. You began to think that you'd been replaced. She was sleeping in your bed. He was spending the time he should be spending with you, with her. You could see it in her eyes that she looked at Sherlock with nothing but pure lust, and you hated it.

You were being replaced and you hated it.

You suddenly bumped into someone and fell onto the ground, scraping your hands once you hit the ground.

"I'm so sorry, I should have been paying attention to where I was going, " you apologized as the man who you bumped into offered you a hand.

You thanked hin once you were up and hastily wiped the tears from your cheeks, not wanting to seem like some helpless girl wandering the streets while crying.

"It's alright...?"

"(Your Name), My name's (Your Name) . What's your name?" you asked politely.

"Richard. Richard Brooks. Nice to meet you (Your Name). Would you like to join me on my walk and chat? It looks like you need to get some things off of your chest."

You hesitantly turned around to see Sherlock, pace getting faster as a look of worry showed up on his face seeing the man who was with you. You didn't think anything of it, only being jealously.

You turned back to Richard and smiled.

"I'd love to.""
